How we protect your personal data

Last updated: 13 July 2026. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our store, use our repair services, or interact with our AI chatbot.

Who We Are

PC Master & Mobiles is a mobile phone and PC sales/repair shop.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

In-store (repairs and sales)

  • Your name and contact details (phone number and/or email), so we can update you on repairs or orders
  • Details about the device you bring in (make, model, fault description, IMEI/serial number where relevant)
  • Payment information processed at the point of sale (we do not store full card details — this is handled by our card payment provider)

AI chatbot

  • Any information you type into the chatbot, such as questions, device issues, or contact details you choose to share
  • The date and time of your conversation
We do not knowingly collect information from children without a parent or guardian present.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Carry out repairs and process sales
  • Contact you about the status of a repair or order
  • Answer questions asked through our AI chatbot
  • Improve our chatbot and customer service
  • Comply with legal or accounting obligations (e.g. keeping sales records)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Sharing Your Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate (e.g. payment processors, the AI provider that powers our chatbot — such as OpenAI)
  • Manufacturers or suppliers, where a repair requires warranty support
  • Authorities, if required by law

AI Chatbot

Our chatbot is powered by third-party AI technology. Messages you send to the chatbot may be processed by that provider in order to generate a response.

Security Recommendation:

Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information (such as passwords or financial details) in the chat.

Data Retention

We keep repair and sales records for as long as needed for warranty, accounting, and legal purposes, and delete or anonymise information when it's no longer needed.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to how we use it

To exercise any of these rights, email us at thepcmasterleeds@gmail.com.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
